the set

The SETVISION solution

Focus on the set

Time on set is scarce, while the picture has to be convincing and stable. Whether you work with 5 or 50 screens: every screen runs independently, so scene changes are fast and smooth.

We deliver practical, visually strong set-ups that work with lighting and camera. With our own stock we can switch quickly and adapt to the needs of every production.

How we work

From first idea to final take

  1. 1

    Mapping it out

Which locations and sets, what type and number of screens, and is the content pre-made or live (CCTV)?

  2. 2

    Clear proposal

You receive a proposal with transparent package prices, tailored to content, shooting schedule and location.

  3. 3

    Build & content

We set up plug-and-play in consultation with the art department and prepare the content.

  4. 4

    On shooting days

Technical support on shooting days – as a separate service, but closely tied to our hardware. We change content in seconds between takes and scenes.

Reliable expertise

A partner who understands the set

We have experience producing drama series – we know how a production runs, from shooting schedule to final take.

With SETVISION you choose not just high-end equipment, but a partner who understands what a professional film set really needs. We create a stress-free, technically stable environment with the creative process at its centre – built for speed, reliability and full control over visual content.

Because we work with our own equipment, we know its possibilities inside out. Curious which productions we worked on? See the cases.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know

How many screens can you supply?

From a single screen to a complete control room with 60 screens or more. Every screen runs independently, so large set-ups stay quick to change.

Do you also create the content for the screens?

Yes. We create bespoke content, matched to the script and art department. If you supply your own images, we prepare those just as well.

Can actors operate the screens themselves?

Yes. An actor can type, click and search on a system that really responds. Or we run everything on cue, or a combination.

Can all the screens do something at once, for example in a hacking scene?

Yes. We control every screen in sync from our control desk. If the set gets hacked in the story, every screen goes to black, static or a glitch at once – or one by one, exactly on cue.

Can the screens respond to what happens in the scene?

Yes. An incoming alert, a camera feed jumping full screen, an alarm going off: we put it on screen at exactly the right moment, on one screen or on all of them at once.

Do you also work wirelessly?

Where it makes sense. Video across many screens is deliberately cabled, because that is the most reliable – hidden through the walls and ceilings of the set where needed, so nothing shows in shot. On top of that we set up our own wireless network for, for example, an iPad or tablet in the set, which we then control remotely – with no cables in shot.

How quickly can you change images between takes?

In seconds. We can also jump straight back to a specific moment within a scene, so every take starts the same.

Do you supply live camera feeds (CCTV)?

Yes. Cameras in the set or on location, shown live on the screens on set.

Are you on set during shooting days?

Technical support on shooting days is available as a separate service – and highly recommended, so everything runs smoothly. We are on set or on call remotely.

Do you work outside the studio?

Yes. On location, in a warehouse, in a vehicle or on the road – INT and EXT. Including a complete command vehicle as a set.

How far in advance should we book you?

The earlier the better – especially if bespoke content is needed. But at short notice we are also happy to see what is possible.

Can you help during pre-production?

Yes. We like to think along early with the art department and production: which screens go where, what needs to be on screen and how it is controlled.

Can we supply our own images or videos?

Yes. Supply your own images and we prepare them on the right screens. Even at the last minute, even on the shooting day itself.

Do the screens flicker or show banding on camera?

We match screens and refresh rates to the camera. Together with the DoP we make sure the picture looks right on camera.

Do you also supply laptops, PCs, phones and tablets?

Laptops and PCs are standard; phones and tablets are possible on request. Besides monitors and TVs we supply the devices with working content the actors can play with.

Do you build the screens into the set?

Yes, in any kind of set. In consultation with the art department we build screens into desks, walls and vehicles – even an aircraft cockpit – so everything works in the shot.

Do you also work in Belgium?

Yes. We work throughout the Netherlands and in Belgium – from Amsterdam and Hilversum to Antwerp, Brussels and Ghent. For Het Gouden Uur 2, for example, we built a crisis centre in Antwerp. Feel free to ask about other locations.

What does it cost?

That depends on the number of screens, the content and the shooting schedule. You receive a clear proposal with transparent package prices.
